The main topics of the event include innovations in wound healing, clinical recommendations, multidisciplinary approaches in wound healing, or, for example, the topic of the passage of a patient with a chronic wound through the healthcare system or lower limb ulceration. Participants can look forward to expert lectures on these topics from leading experts in the field, as well as rich discussions. At the same time, there will also be a social programme.

"The aim of the conference is to provide participants with information that will contribute significantly to a broader overview and orientation in interdisciplinary cooperation in wound management and, above all, to the improvement of professional activities." says prof. PhDr. Andrea Pokorná, PhD, Head of the Department of Health Sciences and Chair of the Conference Programme Committee.

This year, the Mikulov Hotel Galant will be the meeting place for all experts dealing with the issue of decubitus - pressure ulcers - who will meet to share new knowledge in the field of wound healing and more. The conference, entitled "New Challenges in Wound Healing", together with the fifth symposium "Pressure ulcers/injuries", is organised by the Department of Health Sciences of the Faculty of Medicine of Masaryk University and the Czech National Centre for Evidence-Based Healthcare and Knowledge Translation under the auspices of the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, prof.
