Basic information

The Hematology PhD programme was accredited in Brno in 2015. The standard duration of the full-time form of the study is 4 years; a combined form of the study (part-time study) is also possible. The study objectives: to provide basic knowledge and skills for appropriate and effective hematology and hematological oncology research (leukemia, lymphoma, multiple myeloma, moleculat biology in hematology,…). A high quality of training and the necessary interdisciplinary and complex approach to the contemporary research of the human blood and bone marrow system is stressed. Several institutions (incl. Department of Internal Medicine – Hematology and Oncology, Department of Pediatric Oncology, Central European Institute of Technology) are co-operating in the hematology PhD programme.
