      • Tachy MAS paroxysms - non-invasive and invasive diagnostic procedures including electrophysiology, pharmacological and non-pharmacological therapies (radiofrequency ablations, implantation of cardioverter-defibrillator)
      • Brady MAS paroxysms - non-invasive and invasive diagnostic procedures, permanent pacing of the heart

    The field of Pneumology involves a broad range of age categories (from adolescents to old people). The wide spectrum of pulmonary diseases can affect all age categories. Applicants are asked to elaborate their individual study plans based on recommendation of their supervisor. The approval of the scientific committee is mandatory.

    Possible research areas in Pneumology:

    • Invasive and non-invasive pulmonary ventilation in patients with acute respiratory insufficiency
    • The use of bronchoalveolar lavage and examination of bronchoalveolar fluid in diagnosis of interstitial lung diseases
    • The use of bronchoalveolar lavage and examination of bronchoalveolar fluid in diagnosis of pulmonary infections
    • The timing of interventional bronchoscopic procedures in patients with endobronchial obstruction
    • Nutrition in patients with chronic pulmonary diseases
