Vice President: Rita Matos
Known endearingly as Piccolo, due amongst other things to her slight stature, Rita completes the Taijitu of MIMSA’s leadership.
Born and raised in the city known as “the heart of Portugal”, Abrantes, Rita came to Brno after finishing high school in 2007. Her desire to become a great doctor guided her all the way to a city of students in the centre of Europe, Brno.
After many years of experience via scout groups, she “took on” Brno and MIMSA for a new challenge. Using her communication skills and sociable attitude plus a working enterprise and a cheeky smile she is sure to have a positive effect on MIMSA as a whole as our Vice President.

General Secretary: Stuart Andrew Hopkinson
Stuart Andrew Hopkinson, a self proclaimed “man of the world”, Stuart has had numerous adventures in countries ranging from England, Spain and Malta to the Southern Tip of Africa; this left him somewhat confused as to where heis from. Having ventured from the holy land of Cape Town, Stuart, set about studying medicine for his next venture, one that is, as yet incomplete. A relaxed guy who enjoys the sun and a cool beer, Stuart has the job of managing the MIMSA board, he is our secretary.

Treasurer: Margarida Conde
Margarida was born in Lisbon, the TRUE capital city of Portugal.
She has always felt the need to expand her horizons and found a refuge for that need in the city of Brno, where, due to her habit of involving herself in every cause, decided to join MIMSA’s board. Since she is also a control freak when it comes to money, treasurer is the ideal position for her.

Social Manager: Adriano Pacheco Mendes
From the legendary city of students, the one that changed the country, made from old traditions, the first and non-recognized capital of Portugal, where the first Portuguese king of Portugal, where (since 1185) the first Portuguese king takes his long nap, where a… OK ENOUGH!!!! Born and raised there, Adriano discovered his vocation during almost two years volunteering in Red Cross, having an active role in emergency aid.
Besides this, he also played an important role in his High School, making part of the “AEJF” (Students’ Association – José Falcão’s High School) in which, used to work as team, he gained experience in organizing big events.
His experience in the field of student aid, inspired him to become a member and representative of MIMSA.
Oh, by the way, the city is Coimbra and never say something bad about it.

Social Manager: Veronika Sykorova
From the Polish border of the Czech Republic in the dark recesses of Ostrava, Veronika, lived seven years of her life before she moved to the desert of Arizona with her Mom. Cheerleading and dancing her way through high-school, she also secured herself a position on the student council where she gained invaluable experience. She continued her education at Arizona State University as Biochemistry major proving to the world that she’s not a typical blonde! Then, listening hard she heard the voice of her forefathers calling her back to her roots, so she packed her bags (and make-up) and moved back to the Czech Republic where she is currently in the 2nd Year. As co-head of the Social at MIMSA, she is able to promote the things that she loves the most (sports, people, travelling and Czech beer), whilst maintaining her interest in cheering till this day. A cool girl who is loved by many and really embraces life in the Czech Republic to its fullest, Veronika hopes to keep the pace of Masaryk University student’s lives fast and enjoyable.

Education manager: Bhavin Doshi
From the most beautiful city, located at the center of the universe, Leicester; Bhav was placed upon this planet by the hand of the almighty. From Indian descent, but still appreciating the world he managed to scrape an education and began life by attending two prestigious universities in England. Working hard and dedicating himself to the cause, he has managed to complete his education at Masaryk up until now with great success and applies his many experiences to his position as Head of Education at MIMSA.

Education manager: Devangna Bhatia
Born in India, raised in three continents (Asia, Europe and North America) and currently living in the Czech Republic, Devangna is no stranger to change. Also known as “D”, she has spent 4 years living it up in Brno, while attempting to gain a medical degree. Wherever you may be, whether it be Shisha, Mandarin, zumba or Med Fac, you are bound to spot her around.
While still at school, she enjoyed being a volunteer at her local hospice for 2 years, while maintaining her studies and hobbies.
She enjoys keeping herself busy with organising events, ranging from dinners and birthday parties to random trips to Brno Lake. D will never let boredom bring her down.
After being a student rep, for the past 2 years, she was ready to take the next step and become part of the MIMSA Education Board.

Public Relations manager: Luís Gonçalves “Cyrillo” Cardoso
“Everything he does is awesome”
Cyrillo is an erratic but esteemed medical student who frequently becomes embroiled in bizarre and in some cases scandalous situations.
However shallow Cyrillo may come across as being, most episodes on Brno Diaries reveal at least some degree of depth to his persona, in many cases exposing a surprisingly vulnerable man, especially in relation to his fellow colleagues when it comes to bringing people together establishing a bigger and better community, a voice!
All of this favored him for the position of Public Relations of MIMSA for a second term with MIMSA.

Information Technology manager: Roye Mauthner
Born and raised in the warm Mediterranean climate of Israel, Roye has been involved in community services and volunteering activities all his life;
From serving as a Youth movement guide, volunteer in emergency ambulances services, helping native communities in Bolivia and many others.
Being previously a Para- medical (Army EMT guide) and IT (=Information Technology) administrator, Roye weaves the delicate combination of the human and cybernetics factors.
Bearing in mind that a constant communication and an accessible information platform will enable a solid ground for better studies, correct conducting in students’ life and better communication between the students, Roye found himself in the wining team of MIMSA for better students’ future and world peace.
