Why did you decide to become a doctor? Because I enjoy helping people and having a sense of purpose. Also, the medical field is very fast paced with new developments in technology, procedures, drugs and etc. so there is always something new to learn.
What are your plans after graduating? I plan on returning to America and, as of now, specializing in plastic surgery.

What are your plans after graduating? After graduating I want to start working in England, North America or Portugal and eventually specialize.
What are your hobbies? I have many different hobbies! I like to travel, read, go to the cinema, theatre and concerts… During the weekend, when I’m not studying, I like to hang out with my friends, listen to music or play sports.
Why did you decide to become a doctor? I decided to become a doctor because I consider myself as a very altruistic person. I’m hardworking and driven and I like the fact that there’s always something new to learn.
What is your favorite place in Brno? I don’t have a favourite place, I like Brno as a city in general.

Name: My name is Anxelena Gjoni, but people call me Angie, since that was the name my dad wanted to give me.
Where are you from? I come from the sunny and beautiful Greece.
What was your favorite subject in first year? I found biochemistry very interesting.
Why did you decide to become a doctor? It’s a long story, but basically I love to see people smile and being happy. I would love to help anyone just to make their lives somehow better and this gives me hope a lot of energy! And isn’t that the best thing about being a doctor? It will, obviously, be a hard work with many responsibilities and some bad moments as well, but as a friend once told me “you won’t need anything else in life the day you’ll see a person waking up, smiling and saying thank you”. I think it’s wonderful to have a job that can bring happiness to others.
What are your plans after graduating? I want to specialize, but for that I need to choose my specialty and where I want to go.

What are your hobbies? In my free time I like to read books, go to the cinema and read newspapers. My favourite hobby used to be ballet, although now I am only going to the gym.
What is your favorite Czech food? Czech food is really nice and different from the greek gastronomy. I don’t think I have a favourite dish, I enjoy everything.
What is your favourite place in Brno? Spilberk Castle , I like the view and it calms me down a lot. It’s a place I usually go to when I want to relax or think, although when it’s cold I prefer going to a café.
