Brno has a wide variety of public transport across the entire City collectively known as šalinkarta. Students (after registration) will have the ability to get a three monthly pass at discount prices (so don’t get it before registration as you won’t get the discount) which enables you to get on any type of public transport day or night as much as you want or need meaning that you have no excuse to be late for your classes.
The passes can be bought at the ticket offices in the City and during the orientation week your group leader will show you where to get this from and how to fill it out.
Please see our “links” section at the top of this page for the link to the public transport website or follow the this link here
Brno is the second largest city in Czech republic and has its own airport which has flights from England and Italy as well as Prague if you choose to fly (which is not very cost effective). Brno is accessible from four surrounding airports of Bratislava, Prague, Vienna and Brno itself. Please refer to the respective websites to see if you have direct flights from where you are located.
