LF Representative Ball. Tickets sold only today and tomorrow (19th,20th)
Dear students!
Spolek mediku, in cooperation with MIMSA, would like to cordially invite you to the Represnetative ball with
matriculation, which will take place in the Boby centre on the 4th of
December.
The program will once again be held on 3 different stages:
You can be excited for a new band, Lucky Band, performing in the Laser Show Hall.
In the areas of Cafe de Paris, Jury Petru’s cimbal music will be creating a pleasant atmosphere and Dj Folteen will be playing in La Grotta.
Ticket presale:
19.11. and 20.11. from 14:00 do 17:00 in the Spolku mediků office (down the hall from the MIMSA office) and in campus in the student advisor’s room (above the library).
1 Spolku mediků membership card= 1 ticket for 250kč
without a Spolek mediků membership card price of 1 ticket= 300kč

Price of booth in Cafe de Paris= 80kč
Price of booth in Laser show hall= 100kč

Attention! We did it!
To all international students:
As of September 1st we are able to receive the discounted “student” price in all of the MU cafeterias. MIMSA received an official letter from the dean of Masaryk University, Mikulas Bek, before the beginning of the school year announcing his, and the universities, decision to equalize the price of food in the school cafeterias for all international students.
We would like to thank all of the students who signed the petition and helped make this happen.

British Overseas Student Society (BOSS)
MIMSA would like to introduce all of its members to the British Overseas Student Society;
BOSS is a society set up by British students of General Medicine and Dental Medicine at Masaryk University.
The main objectives of the student group are to aid in the enrichment of study materials, to help the post graduate transition to working in the UK, and to provide a forum for the presentation of innovative ideas to benefit the student community.
Membership is available to all students and they work hard to involve all nationalities into their activities.
MIMSA are pleased to acknowledge this partnership and hopes that through continued co-operation it will help further improve the opportunities available to students in Brno.

Accommodation scholarships are available NOW
Applying for scholarship (Accommodation support) is possible in the period between the 1st and the 30th of November.
The scholarship is available to all of the students even if they live out of the dorms.

Apply in 5 simple steps:
1) Login to the IS
2) Click on the Scholarship link on the left-side menu bar
3) Fill in the details of your Czech bank account by clicking on the first link ” Enter number of the account to which you want scholarship payments to be sent” *
4) Back in the main Scholarship page, click on the link “Application for financial support for accommodation (accommodation support)”
5) Make sure you apply for the term “Podzim 2011: from 1.11.2011 to 30.11.2011″
*This step is necessary to do only if it’s the first time you apply. Otherwise, just make sure the details inserted are correct.
