MIMSA cup 2012
Hello everybody
We are proud to present MIMSA CUP 2012
Start gathering, define your strategy, lead your team until the desired final and become the champion.
The tournament will have 12 teams (MAX.) composed by 5 to 8 players and will begin at 9.15 but be sure that your team is there 10min before.
Girls can also play (but in a separate competition).

What is Majales? Majales is a celebration of students with different bands and activities along with an MU zone where associations will present themselves and provide entertainment. MIMSA will be taking a big part of this years Majales so come show your support!

The official presale price of the majales tickets is 299 kc, BUT we are selling them for only 280 kc. You can request tickets from any board member or group representative or come to the office Mon 7-8:30 PM, Tues. 4-6 PM, or Thurs. 6-8 PM.

Scholarship Application
Its that time of year again to apply for your scholarship!

Thank you for your clothing donations!
We are glad to announce that we handed in all the clothing that many of you donated to the
office to 2 very thankful charities in Brno. One called Charitni Bazar Baltazar and the other was a women’s and children’s shelter called Domov Sv. Markety.
Please keep bringing your clothing into the office during office hours (Tuesday 16:00-18:00 and Thursday 18:00-20:00) and we will visit these charities again next semester.

Petition for lowering meal prices in MU cafeterias
Dear students,
As all of you may have noticed we, as international students of LF, have to pay the public price for meals in campus, and all other cafeterias, while Czech students only pay about half the price. MIMSA would like to make a stand against this and we need your help!
There will be a petition going around with your group representatives starting tomorrow, and also be available in the MIMSA office during office hours. (For your group rep. vis http://www.med.muni.cz/mimsa/about-mimsa/group-representatives-2012/) We need as many signatures as possible in order to have a large impact and make this change happen. Please sign the petition. If you have any questions or comments feel free to contact any MIMSA board member.

HIV Seminar
 Dear Colleagues! On behalf of MIMSA, I, Pouria Farsani would like to invite you all to a HIV and STI (Sexually Transmitted Infection) awareness seminar. In the future, you will as doctors encounter many patients suffering from STIs. It is important to have a general knowledge of how you should interact with patients suffering from STIs – many times it can be a rather delicate topic to discuss. This seminar will cover the following: • A short film made by myself called “9 minutes & HIV” Where: Komenského náměstí , Old Medical Faculty, Large Lecture Hall. Date: Thursday 8th March. When: 18:30 to 20:00 (maybe longer if there are many questions to be asked). General Meeting
MIMSA is going to hold a General Meeting on Friday 16th December between 6-8pm in the large lecture hall, Komenskeho Namesti. The aim of this meeting is to clarify the outcome of the elections, to announce the new board and what they aim to achieve in this following year.
