Working days in Roche Ltd, Diagnostics Division Prague for students and partners:

Spring semester 2011 starts on 21 February, autumn semester of the following academic year starts approximately the third week in September.

Theoretical part:

Aims: To introduce the corporation and local representation of Roche Ltd, Diagnostics Division
Method: Presentation in conference room of Roche Ltd, Diagnostics Division, third floor, Karlovo náměstí 17, Prague

1. Opening part (common for all terms):

  • Introduction of the company, mission, corporate strategy and organizational structure of the corporation (TP)
  • Introduction of Roche Ltd, Diagnostics Division, strategy and organizational structure (TP)
  • Procedure scheme- how does the organization Roche Ltd, Diagnostics Division work? (TP)
  • Introduction of particular business and supporting sections (TP)
  • Marketing tools, customers support (RB)
  • Personnel policy, career development, work with employees (TP, LN)

  • SCARF and relations management on the working place, why bad relations of intelligent, active and creative people can reduce their final output by up to 50% etc. (LN)

4. Quality management processes

  • What is ISO generally for, and then its application to Roche Ltd, Diagnostics Division, complaint management, IVD - what is it, role of State Institute for Drug Control, obligations of producer IVD to after-sales monitoring (vigilance, FSN – Field Safety Notice and FSCA - Field Safety Corrective Actions, obligations of user to implement them - integral part of Instruction for usage as leaflets. In case of non-observance, the producer is not responsible for results and quality

  • Web presentation of Roche Ltd, Diagnostics Division (KM)
  • Printed materials - booklets, leaflets
  • Educational events for customers
  • Quarterly Labor Aktuell (LN)

6. Customers support

  • R&D criteria for development and modernising of methods portfolio (KM, IK)
  • Importance of CE/FDA certification, what it means and what it does not mean (KM)
  • Analysis, operational simulation and possible solution of a lab by means of PC tools (PK)
  • Roche Ltd, Diagnostics Division e-services (PP)
  • Trends of analysers development, SWA platform, harmonisation (PO)
  • Application support and problems solving on various analytic systems, our tools and mechanism of problems solving (support of GSS, Clarify Prisma and CM) and a possible feedback from the producer PB, CAPA.

Practical part:

Aim: to show the students the real atmosphere of routine work so that they can imagine the current working mode in the company
Method: Division into 3 students groups and work directly in the sectors
