· Vacation practice after the 6th semester includes 2 weeks of clinical practice in a stomatological outpatient department.
· Vacation practice after the 8th semester includes 2 weeks of clinical practice in Stomatology, 1 week of clinical practice in Internal Medicine, and 1 week of clinical practice in Surgery.
· Vacation practice after the 10th semester includes 3 weeks of clinical practice in Stomatology.
2) Pre-graduation Practice in the 11th and 12th semesters.

Physical Training
In the 1st - 4th semesters students can enrol on a course of Physical Training in an extent of 2 hours per week. They can choose from university courses (see Commentary on General Medicine, page 30)

Elective courses
In addition to obligatory courses students can enrol on elective courses. These include elective lectures, elective courses, and selective clinical courses. Information on these possibilities is given in the study plans for the respective study years. Elective courses further include all courses that are being taught in the given period at all faculties of Masaryk University, and whose enrolment is allowed for students of the given programme.

INSTRUCTION IN THE FOURTH YEAR - 7th and 8th sem.

Beginning from the 7th semester, instruction in the individual courses is organised in one- or two-week blocks. The seminars, practical training and bedside teaching are concentrated in morning blocks of a daily duration of six hours.
Obligatory lectures are held in the afternoon from 13:30, elective lectures are usually held late in the afternoon or in the evening.
In one-semester courses, lectures will only be held in the autumn semester. Examinations may be taken after completion of the prescribed instruction in the respective course also in the course of the semester.

Enrolment into the 7th semester
The prerequisites for enrolment on the obligatory courses of the 7th semester include:
· obtaining at least 15 credits in the 6th semester;
· passing exams in the repeated courses.
· In accordance with the accreditation materials, passing the examinations in the courses of Pathological Physiology, Pathological Anatomy, Preclinical Stomatology, and passing the colloquium in Preventive Stomatology are prerequisites for enrolment on all of the courses of the 7th and 8th semesters with the exception of Medical Psychology, Diagnostic Imaging, Epidemiology, and Clinical Genetics. If the student has passed exams in the above-mentioned prerequisites, s/he may enrol in all obligatory courses of the 7th semester. If s/he misses exams in the courses of Clinical Examination in Surgery and in Internal Medicine, the unused dates may be transferred into the examination period of the 7th semester.
If the student has not obtained credits for the exams in Pathological Physiology and Pathological Anatomy, , s/he re-enrols for the course/s, along with the above-mentioned courses of the 7th semester for which it is not a prerequisite (Medical Psychology, Diagnostic Imaging, Epidemiology, and Clinical Genetics). At the same time s/he must re-enrol on the instruction in all of the stomatology courses of the 5th semester.
If any other exams are missing besides Pathological Physiology, Pathological Anatomy, and Clinical Examination in Surgery and in Internal Medicine, then, in accordance with the accreditation materials, Art. 15 par. 1b of the Rules for Studies and Examinations shall be applied.
The student who had not enrolled on Pathological Physiology and Pathological Anatomy in the 5th and 6th semesters has to enrol on these courses in the 7th and 8th semesters. S/he shall also enrol on the remaining courses of the 5th and 6th semesters, and may enrol in each of the semesters on at most two obligatory courses of the 4th year of study (eligible courses include Medical Psychology, Diagnostic Imaging Methods, Epidemiology, Clinical Genetics). At the same time s/he must re-enrol on the instruction in all of the stomatology courses of the 5th semester.
If the student fails to pass the exams in Pathological Physiology or Pathological Anatomy,. s/he has to re-enrol on the courses. However, s/he cannot enrol on any other obligatory course for which these two courses are barrier ones. S/he has to obtain the required number of credits for the completion of elective courses at the MU Fac. of Medicine, or of selected courses offered by the other faculties. At the same time s/he must re-enrol on the instruction in all of the stomatology courses of the 5th semester.
