The University Center for Surgical Anatomy (UCSA) was found in 2006 at the Department of Anatomy, Faculty of Medicine, Masaryk University. The Center is aimed at organization of courses for education of pre-graduate and postgraduate students as well as training of clinicians who need knowledge and orientation in the interventional parts of human body (e.g., in traumatology, surgery, orthopedics, otorhinolaryngology and other branches of invasive medicine). The training of physicians on specific surgical and mini-invasive approaches and techniques is conducted in collaboration with clinician specialists.
Both theoretical and practical parts of the courses proceed in the Department of Anatomy providing two rooms for dissection of human cadavers equipped with audio-visual net and other seminary halls.
