WHAT I DO:
Work as head of the Center for Healthcare
Quality, Masaryk University, Faculty of Medicine in coordinating programs of
health system quality management (Standards of Efficient Medical Care, performance
measurement, management tools implementation and general „principles and
philosophy“ of healthcare quality implementation). Use unstructured fulltext
based approaches and computer linguistics for medical information management.
Teach superb students of the Brno Medical School of the Masaryk University to
understand and use information and communication (general concepts, skills,
attitudes, benefits, limitations, risks and technologies) as support for their
activities and in preparation for their future professional needs. Perform IVF
and other forms of assisted reproduction treatment, both gynecology and the
embryology lab part (cannot decide what I like doing more). Worked with ESQH
(European Society for Quality in Healthcare), DG SANCO / DG SANTE, CEESTAHC
(Central and Eastern European Society for Technology Assessment in Health Care www.ceestahc.org), EHFF (European Health
Futures Forum www.ehff.eu ), EXPH ( DG SANTE
Expert Panel on Efficient Investment in Health, see opinions from year 2018 and

and especially the “Assessing
the Impact of Digital Transformation of Health Services” listed among the
100 most important publications published by EU in 2019. Ready to team with
anyone interested in quality, accountability and improvement in health
services, healthcare and education. Constantly on the lookout for tools
enabling easier real-time access to and management of data, information,
knowledge, concepts. I am on the editorial board of International Journal of
Reliable and Quality E-Healthcare (IJRQEH)

Love to think, reflect, ski, hike and spend time with my family and friends -

lab of the second largest University hospital in Czech Republic, my daughter
Elisabeth holds master degree in nursing with her thesis focused on teamwork in

I am also a proud grandfather to three granddaughters and one grandson. I enjoy
traveling, meeting with people and hosting people when they come to the Czech
