Human Nutrition
Study of Human Nutrition, available in Czech, is divided into three 1-year cycles. The first one is based on biological subjects, ie. Anatomy, Biology, Biochemistry, Physiology, Microbiology, Ecology, Bioenergetics etc. The second one offers Food Science, Psychology, Sociology, Pathological Physiology, Applied Biochemistry, Toxicology, Community Nutrition, Pharmacology, Computer Science and the Introduction to Internal Medicine etc. The third year of study covers Clinical Nutrition, Dietology, Economy, Marketing, Community Nutrition, Biostatistic, Public Health, Preventive Medicine, Epidemiology, Communication Skills etc. Students are expected to elect any of recommended courses, eg. Genetics, Immunology, Stomatology, Physiotherapy, Medical Ethics, Philosophy etc. The study is finished by the state exam and the defense of bachelor dissertation. Graduates will obtain the degree of BSc (bachelor of science), which is equivalent to the degree BA, awarded in the U.S.A., Canada and in Great Britain. The tuition fee for the foreign students is the same as for the students applying for the study of general medicine and dentistry provided in Czech language.
