Exhibition of medicinal plants

This botanical garden is the largest living collection of medicinal plants in the Czech Republic with an assortment of nearly 900 plant species and varieties of medicinal, aromatic, spice, tonic and toxic plants, both domestic and foreign. The extensive collection of plants from the poppy family is unique worldwide. The Centre maintains a gene pool of medicinal plants, cultivates plant material for medical education and research work of scientists. It is an attractive environment for practical teaching for students of all levels of schools and for public education.

The medicinal plant exhibition is held annually, this year opening on 15 June and open until 9 July 202732, daily including weekends from 9am to 6pm. The Centre of Medicinal Plants of the Faculty of Medicine of the Medical Faculty of Masaryk University can be found at Údolní 74, Brno - Kraví hora. Admission is voluntary.

The event is held under the auspices of the Brno-Centre district and the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine of Masaryk University, Prof. Martin Repko, M.D., Ph.D.
