The Faculty of Medicine at Masaryk University will once again welcome its alumni to a ceremonial gathering that has, over recent years, become one of the faculty’s most distinguished and prestigious events. The fourth annual Alumni Day of the MU Faculty of Medicine will continue the tradition of reconnecting graduates and honouring the professional paths of those who have helped shape the faculty’s reputation and contributed significantly to the development of healthcare in the Czech Republic.

A special highlight of this year’s event will be the anniversary graduation ceremonies, during which two remarkable generations will be welcomed back to the faculty’s ceremonial hall: graduates celebrating fifty years since their commencement, and those marking the twenty‑fifth anniversary of their graduation. During this formal ceremony, they will receive commemorative certificates in recognition of their lifelong professional dedication and their lasting connection to the faculty.

Alumni Day is open to all graduating classes, inviting those who wish to walk through the familiar corridors of the campus once more, reconnect with classmates, reminisce about their study years, or explore the faculty’s state‑of‑the‑art teaching facilities. Guided tours of the Simulation Centre and the Department of Anatomy will offer alumni an insight into the environment where new generations of physicians, dentists, health professionals, and researchers are being educated today.

The programme will also feature a lecture by Professor Jaroslav Štěrba, one of the leading figures in Czech oncology, who will present current developments and perspectives in precision medicine. His talk will interweave academic insight with clinical experience, offering participants a unique view into the evolving landscape of modern medicine.

The afternoon portion of the event will be dedicated to informal gatherings in the campus library. Alumni will have the opportunity to meet over refreshments, visit a photo booth, learn about current student organisations, explore the programmes of the University of the Third Age, and view historical materials prepared by the Masaryk University Archives. The entire day will be enriched by an atmosphere of return, shared stories, and the enduring values on which the faculty was built—and continues to uphold through its alumni.

Alumni Day of the MU Faculty of Medicine is both a tribute to the past and a celebration of the future. It is a day that brings generations together and affirms that every graduate—regardless of their year of commencement—remains an integral part of the faculty’s academic community and its mission.

Please note: The event is held in the Czech language.
