Dear Members of the academic community,

currently, we all live in uncertainty about what epidemiologic measures will be in place in the coming days. The only certainty is that from next week, a universal testing obligation comes into effect in the form of RT-PCR or RAT test. The Faculty of Medicine of Masaryk University responded to this fact by issuing Measure No. 10/2021, reflecting the need to determine epidemiological measures against the spread of COVID-19, which means the introduction of the O-N-T system for the presence of students and lecturers in the full-time form of teaching.

With this measure, we anticipate the need to test every three days via the RT-PCR test for the presence of SARSCoV-2 virus. Students and employees, who have completed their vaccination or have demonstrably suffered from COVID-19 in the last 180 days, are exempted from the need to undergo this testing.

However, this does not mean that we will not react to the development of the situation, quite the contrary. In the event there is any shift in the generally applicable measures, which we are not aware of at the moment, we will reflect it on a faculty level. If the regulations and the situation allow it, we will extend the validity of the certificate of examination (test).

We will inform you about the next steps.

Yours faithfully,

Martin Repko
