We would like to invite you all to share the outputs of the project aimed to fill in the curriculum of undergraduate students of biomedical disciplines with the area of clinical trials.
Dear Colleagues,
We would like to invite you to an international meeting, where we would like to share the outputs of the ERASMUS + CONSCIOUS project with you and your colleagues.
The aim of this project was to fill in the curriculum of undergraduate students of biomedical disciplines with the area of clinical trials. Education in this area is not only in the Czech Republic, but also in other European countries rather marginal. The output of the project is e-learning materials that cover the basic areas of clinical research and give participants an idea of how the clinical study is planned, how it is created, what ethical requirements are placed on it, what documents accompany it, all using innovative teaching methods. E-learning materials were created in international cooperation of the Faculty of Medicine of Masaryk University and universities from Hungary, France, Portugal, Ireland, and at the same time under the auspices of ECRIN, resp. their national units. We would like to present the outputs from the project and offer them as an opportunity to expand the curriculum of your students. In less than two hours, students will get acquainted not only with the content, but also with the nature of practical activities. At the same time, it will be possible to ask questions directly to the authors of the chapters.
You can find a detailed program here.
Date: 25th May 2021 from 14.00 to 15.40 (CET).

“We have proven that the results of our research groups have a direct impact on practice and on the lives of our patients,” said Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Medicine at Masaryk University, Jaroslav Štěrba, at the EXCELES program’s review conference held in the residence of the Mayor of the City of Prague on 2 December 2025. The event brought together key biomedical institutions from across the country. It highlighted the unique contribution of the national projects financed by the National Recovery Plan—primarily fostering collaboration instead of the previous fragmentation—to clinical practice and public health.
