Nearly 800 Students Complete Their Studies at MED MUNI This Year
Nearly 800 students successfully completed their studies at the Faculty of Medicine of Masaryk University this year. Graduates included students of General Medicine, Dentistry and the Embryologist programme, as well as graduates of bachelor's and follow-up master's programmes in healthcare. The graduating class also included students from the Faculty's English-taught degree programmes.
Nearly 800 students successfully completed their studies at the Faculty of Medicine of Masaryk University this year. The graduates included more than 330 newly qualified medical doctors, nearly 50 dentists, around 20 embryologists, hundreds of graduates of bachelor's degree programmes in healthcare, as well as students of follow-up master's degree programmes. The faculty's graduates also included more than 70 students from the English-taught General Medicine and Dentistry programmes.
The faculty's bachelor's degree portfolio includes Dental Hygiene, Physiotherapy, Laboratory Diagnostics in Healthcare, Nutrition Therapy, Optics and Optometry, Orthoptics, Midwifery, Radiological Assistance, General Nursing and Emergency Medical Care. Some graduates will continue their education at the Faculty of Medicine MU in follow-up master's degree programmes, including Applied Physiotherapy, Intensive Care, Neurosciences, Optometry, and Nutrition for Adults and Children.
Throughout their studies, future doctors and healthcare professionals acquire knowledge and practical skills in the modern university campus in Bohunice, at clinical departments of university hospitals, and at other partner healthcare institutions. An integral part of their education is also the Simulation Centre of the Faculty of Medicine MU (SIMU), the most advanced simulation centre in Europe, where students develop clinical skills, crisis communication abilities and teamwork in a safe environment before encountering real patients during their clinical placements.
The graduation ceremonies took place from 29 June to 3 July 2026. Over the course of five days, dozens of graduation groups celebrated the successful completion of their studies. For many of the graduates, this marked the end of a demanding academic journey and the beginning of a new chapter in their professional lives in healthcare, research and other specialist fields.
