Brno Ph.D. Competition Talent, which annually supports promising male and female natural sciences and engineering students, brought joy to the Faculty of Medicine of Masaryk University this year. Among the 25 selected students who received an extraordinary scholarship of CZK 360,000 for three years, six PhD students from this faculty succeeded.

Brno Ph.D. Scholarship. Talent is financial support and an opportunity for personal and professional growth. Successful PhD students gain access to development courses focusing on soft skills and the opportunity to meet with experts and past awardees.
According to the Mayor of Brno, Markéta Vaňková, the programme aims to support young talents in their scientific careers and strengthen their ties to the Brno region. "With this scholarship, they can focus on their research projects, which may have global significance in the future," she said when announcing the names of all the PhD students who the City of Brno will support with an extraordinary scholarship totalling CZK 9 million over the next three years.
The success of PhD students of the Faculty of Medicine of MU confirms the importance of this institution not only in the field of education but also in scientific research. The awarded PhD students are working on topics that have the potential to bring fundamental findings in neuroscience, biomedical sciences or oncology.
