The charity collection "Christmas Baking in the Campus," which took place on Monday, December 8, 2025, in the southern corridors of the Campus of the Faculty of Medicine and Faculty of Science at Masaryk University, successfully attracted students and staff. A pleasant Advent atmosphere prevailed throughout the day, complemented by the aroma of Christmas cookies and homemade sweet treats.
Thanks to the generosity of more than 140 donors, a total of CZK 16,647 was raised.
All proceeds will go to Kompas NF — the foundation for precision medicine. The funds will be used to directly support pediatric patients without a confirmed diagnosis, patients with rare and ultra-rare diseases, and adult oncology patients.
We warmly thank all the volunteers from the student association IFMSA CZ who organized the fundraiser and were present all day to ensure its smooth running. Big thanks go to everyone who baked sweet treats at home and helped create not only a beautiful pre-Christmas atmosphere but also a significant contribution to the event’s success. Sincere thanks also to everyone who took part and supported the cause. Thanks to you all, the fundraiser has a real impact.

Approximately 600 high school students from across the country attended the fifth annual Czechopes student conference this year. As the main partner, the MU Faculty of Medicine prepared a rich program – from interactive workshops at selected workplaces to a Junior Academy stand open all day, where visitors could try out a range of practical activities and ask anything they wanted to know about studying medicine.
These days, work is underway to make the Medicinal Herbs Centre at the Faculty of Medicine of Masaryk University an even more pleasant place. However, this means temporarily restricting the entry of visitors.
