Are you considering studying for a PhD at MUNI MED, or have you just started the 1st year of doctoral studies? At the virtual PhD Day 2021, you will learn all crucial faculty and university information about studying, financing your dissertation project, possible support, and much more.

This event is targeted mainly at students of the last years of master's degree study programs, students in their 1st year in doctoral study programs, and those considering a doctorate at the Faculty of Medicine, MU.

There will also be a roll-up presentation during October with information about individual study programs and their specializations in the Campus Corridor. Don't forget to see it.

Students collected 242.2 kg of food

In addition to the many activities associated with the celebration of the 105th anniversary of the founding of Masaryk University, from 3 to 8 April 2024, students of the Faculty of Medicine added a project aimed at supporting homeless people. Food collections were held at all faculties of the university. The goal was to collect symbolically at least 105 kg.

Interview with Prof. Hana Hrstková: About pediatric oncology and follow-up care

Prof. MUDr. Hana Hrstková, CSc., has extensive experience in the field of pediatrics, especially in pediatric oncology. For many years she was the head of the First Children's Internal Medicine Clinic of the University Hospital Brno. She specializes mainly in hematology, hematooncology and oncology. In addition to the treatment of malignant tumours, she also deals with late effects of oncological therapy and teaching at the Faculty of Medicine of Masaryk University. He has been working at the University Hospital Brno for more than 40 years and this year he will celebrate a significant jubilee.

Cancer cells can be beautiful, says Kanako Suzuki, author of the best microscopy image

Kanako Suzuki is in her fifth year of the English-language General Medicine program. Her passion for science earned her the Best Microscopy Image Award organized annually by the Cellular Image Core Facility at CEITEC MU this year.
