Martin Repko, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine MU, Vlastimil Vajdák, Director of FNUSA in Brno, Vlastimil Válek, Minister of Health and Rector of Masaryk University Martin Bareš, signed an agreement on the establishment of a joint International Clinical Research Center on Friday, 28 January 2022, on the occasion of the 103rd anniversary of Masaryk University.
The contract is the result of more than a year of negotiations between the representatives of the University Hospital at St. Anny in Brno and the Faculty of Medicine MU. The benefit of a common workplace lies mainly in deepening cooperation and streamlining the use of technology, space and human resources.

FM MU will actively participate in the MENDEL 200 celebrations
For our faculty, as well as for the entire Masaryk University and the city of Brno, the celebration of the 200th anniversary of Gregor Johann Mendel's birth is an interesting opportunity to raise the profile of the entire South Moravian region. The Communication and External Relations Office has a new team management and has moved to the Dean's Office of FM MU. The project support of FM MU has undergone several changes. Both of the offices, known as Office for National Grants and Office for International Grants can now be found on the 5th floor of building F37 (SIMU).
In 2021, 273 project proposals were submitted in cooperation with you. The first calls of Horizon Europe programme have been announced, in which the Faculty of Medicine is applying for several prestigious projects – Teaming for excellence, ERC grant and HE grant from the position of coordinator. A total of 213 projects were in the implementation phase, which underwent all internal and external audits without findings. The strategic project of SIMU has entered its final year of solution.
The year 2022 will be mainly in the name of new challenges, not only in the field of National Recovery Plan, the Jan Amos Komenský Operational Programme or Horizon Europe. We will follow all the news for you next year as well. You can find current information on the project support website.
