Dear colleagues, Ladies and Gentlemen,
It might seem that the traditional greetings at the conventional time are a mere pre-Christmas formality and routine, but it is not. Time seems to be moving faster and faster, and each of us undoubtedly feels from time to time that it is difficult to find moments to pause in it, whether on a personal or a professional level. Today's world presents many personal, social, and global challenges. Some are less affected by their consequences, others more, but I am glad that we are able to continue our joint efforts to contribute to the quality of our faculty.
The daily agenda related to teaching, research, clinical work, and administration continues to be carried out by the Faculty. By working together we are demonstrating how dynamic and socially relevant our institution can be. The following year will undoubtedly bring new and difficult challenges. And while it is a well-known truth that there are always possibilities for improvement, I am filled with confidence that, whatever they may be, we are ready to face and master them together.
Therefore, on behalf of the entire management of Masaryk University Faculty of Medicine, let me thank you for your work and efforts throughout the year and wish you a peaceful Christmas. I look forward to seeing you in the New Year 2023.

We would like to thank the students and staff for health education and introducing science to the public
Thanks to you, not only at the faculty but also outside the faculty, many awareness-raising events are taking place to raise awareness about the prevention of various diseases. Our students are behind many of these activities. These include the spring World Health Days, the autumn World Diabetes Days, World AIDS Week, the In Healthy Brno Healthy Tooth event, the Brno Prevention Days, the year-round Together Safe activity, and many other events.
You, the staff, are also involved in events presenting science and research at our faculty, often in cooperation with students. We can mention, for example, the collaboration during the annual events in the form of Open Days, Researchers' Night or the exhibition in the Centre of Medicinal Plants. Such activities represent our faculty well.

Is there a student you know, who has been outstanding for a long time with extraordinary study and research results that go beyond the scope of normal studies? Support him or her with your nomination for the LF MU Dean's Award, which can be awarded in two categories for OUTSTANDING SCIENTIFIC PERFORMANCE or for EXTRAORDINARY CONTRIBUTION to LF MU. Fill in the electronic form with a short description of the activity for which the student is to be awarded.

MU Faculty of Medicine opens new opportunities!

This is the slogan of this year's #MUNICHALLENGE campaign targeting applicants to study at our faculty. The faces of the campaign are student Klára Menšíková and graduate MUDr. Jan Kocanda, who became the moderators of the successful event You Too Can Become a Part of GENERATION MED MUNI, which took place in the University Cinema Scala on 23 November 2022 with the participation of our students and the faculty management. The main point of the program was a two-hour discussion on the topics that resonate the most among applicants each year.
