Dear colleagues, Ladies and Gentlemen,

We have entered the new academic year with the hope of more opportunities for personal meetings. A few days ago, we opened the faculty once again for full-time teaching, we celebrated the first birthday of the Simulation Centre of the FM MU and also welcomed an honoured guest, a world-renowned plastic surgeon, professor Bohdan Pomahač.

I would like to use this opportunity to thank you for how well you managed the previous challenging period. Thank you for your professionalism and mutual cooperation, thanks to which we are able to ensure quality teaching. I firmly believe that this year will be marked by the normal functioning of the faculty.

I look forward to our cooperation and wish you all a successful start of the new semester.

SIMU celebrated its first birthday and is in the finals of the "Building of the Year" contest. Vote for SIMU!

Throughout last year, over two thousand students of General Medicine and Dentistry at the FM MU tried out lessons in the Simulation Centre, or the so-called training hospital, for the first time.

Vote for SIMU and help us gain the title of Building of the Year 2021 in the public poll. A jury of experts from the contest nominated the building of the Simulation Centre FM MU as one of the 33 best buildings in the whole of Czech Republic. You can vote until 12 o’clock on Sunday, 17^th October.

Opportunities for your education and professional development

Registration for the 2nd year of Seduo

For 2021/2022, the Faculty of Medicine MU offers its employees yearly access to on-line learning platform, Seduo.cz. The courses are led in Czech and Slovak only.

Global Staff Mobility

Both academic and non-academic staff of MU can take part in this programme and spend up to 14 days at university in any destination under the following conditions:

Letter of pre-acceptance issued by the host university
Mobility must be relevant for the work area of the applicant
Approval by immediate superior

The current call for applicants is open until 31 October 2021 (valid also for stays in 2022).

Erasmus - training of employees abroad

The e-application for the Erasmus programme - training of employees abroad will be open in the period from 4 to 25 October. This programme enables MU employees to receive financial support for training abroad.

The programme allows for a training duration of 2 days to 2 months.

The children's group has free capacity

Currently, there are several vacancies in the children's group with a subsidized tuition fee. Group is located 4 minutes from the Campus and is intended for children of FM MU employees aged 18-36 months. Management also communicates in English. Opening hours are 7:00 - 17:00. The operator is the Elanek network.
