In the 2026 call of the Czech Health Research Council (AZV), 17 projects involving researchers from our faculty were successful. A total of CZK 140 million will be directed towards health research in the coming years. Nearly half of the supported projects are led by researchers in the junior stage of their careers.
The Faculty of Medicine serves as the main investigator in 12 of them (including 6 junior-led projects) and as a co-investigator in 5 (including 2 junior-led projects).
Supported projects – Principal Investigators from the Faculty of Medicine
Researchers Sabina Ševčíková, Dáša Bohačiaková, Martin Knoz, Jaroslav Štěrba, and Petra Pokorná will participate as co-investigators in projects led by other institutions.
In the previous call, eight projects were supported with our faculty as the main investigator and seven as co-investigator. The faculty has thus recorded another year-on-year increase in success.
