InGA Accelerate 2027 call is open
This funding program is designed to assess the application potential of research results and achieve a significant shift towards practice. It applies the principles of SPARK Stanford Program.
The aim of the scheme is to
- Increase not only the number of research outputs, but above all their quality and potential for real-world application,
- Support a shift in mindset from basic research toward applied and translational research,
- Strengthen collaboration between the Faculty of Medicine, Masaryk University, and the application sector, and raise awareness of research and its impact in practice,
- Support applied research, experimental development, proof-of-concept projects, and the establishment of start-ups and spin-off companies at the Faculty of Medicine,
- Provide added value through regular monitoring and international mentoring (SPARK Global Network, ITAB MED MUNI), helping projects move toward real-world implementation
Eligibility
Applicants must meet the following conditions:
- Be an employee of the Faculty of Medicine, Masaryk University, actively involved in research, with at least a 0.5 FTE employment contract at the faculty
- Submit a project focused on applied research or experimental development according to the Frascati Manual definition
- Address an unmet clinical need with a clear potential for future application in practice
- Demonstrate progression of the technology or innovation to the next Technology Readiness Level (TRL)
- Ensure that the planned activities are not funded by another project
Application Process
Deadline for project proposal drafts - 4 September 2026
Applicants must:
- Submit a draft project proposal electronically via ISEP
- Attach an application for assessment by the Ethics Board and any other relevant supporting documents, if required by the nature of the project
Final deadline for submission of finalized proposals - 1 October 2026
- Following the review of the draft proposal and annexes, the finalized proposal must be submitted for electronic approval via ISEP
- The final submission is prepared in cooperation with the MUNI MED Technology Transfer Manager (Daniela Podzemná)
Funding
- Up to CZK 1,000,000 per project
- Project duration: up to 2 years
