New Funding Opportunities in Public Health – EU4Health 2025
The European Commission has launched new EU4Health 2025 calls, offering attractive funding opportunities for universities, research organizations, hospitals, and the non-profit sector. The program aims to strengthen European healthcare systems, disease prevention, and the digital transformation of healthcare.
Key Focus Areas
- Cancer, cardiovascular, and other non-communicable diseases – e.g., AI-driven screening for stomach, lung, and prostate cancer
- Digital health and AI – European initiative for the use of health data and biotechnologies (EHDS)
- Crisis preparedness – development of innovative medical countermeasures against CBRN threats
- Medical devices for rare diseases – with a focus on pediatric patients

EP PerMed 2026: Fresh Funding Opportunities in Personalised Medicine
The Czech Health Research Council (AZV) has announced a new transnational call under the European Partnership for Personalised Medicine (EP PerMed) titled “Test and Demonstration of Multimodal Data Approaches for Personalised Medicine (MultiPMData2026)”. The call supports collaboration among researchers, clinical partners, and companies in developing and testing innovative solutions using multimodal data (clinical, genomic, digital, etc.) to deliver individualised care for patients with multiple chronic conditions (multimorbidity).
- Projects should bring forward new approaches to diagnosis, disease monitoring, and treatment decision-making,
- Consortia must include at least 3 partners from 3 different countries, including a clinical and an industrial (SME) partner,
- Large-scale clinical studies will not be supported,
- Project duration: 3 years,
- Maximum funding for Czech partners: €125,000, total Czech allocation: €250,000

📅 Full proposals deadline: 27 April 2026

Your Expertise Wanted: Join GA ČR Evaluation Panels
The Czech Science Foundation (GA ČR) is seeking experts who, from April 2026, will serve primarily in the following areas:
- Technical Sciences: civil engineering, inorganic materials science and engineering
- Physical Sciences: nuclear and particle physics, astronomy, condensed matter physics, atmospheric physics, climatology, and geophysics
- Medical and Biological Sciences: biochemistry, molecular biology, genetics, cell and evolutionary biology, cancer biology, neuroscience, medical sciences, and pharmacology
- Social Sciences and Humanities: philosophy, theology, economics, archaeology, art studies, modern history, and ethnology
- Agricultural and Biological-Environmental Sciences: plant and animal physiology and genetics, veterinary medicine, food science, ecology, botany, and zoology
