MSCA Doctoral Networks

Are you planning to build or join an international doctoral consortium?

The European Commission has opened the MSCA Doctoral Networks 2026 call, which supports the establishment of international doctoral consortia that jointly train PhD candidates across disciplines and sectors 🌍

The programme funds doctoral positions within international teams and places strong emphasis on linking academia with industry and applied research 🤝

minimum consortium requirement: 3 institutions from 3 different countries
involvement of universities, research organisations, and industry partners 🏫🏢
doctoral training through research, secondments, and international mobility ✈️
strong focus on interdisciplinary and transferable skills (research, innovation, communication)
the programme includes Doctoral Networks, Industrial Doctorates, and Joint Doctorates

MEYS Activity Mobility

Are you looking for support for collaboration with Germany or France?

The Czech Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports (MEYS) has reopened the MOBILITY programme, which supports the establishment and development of international research partnerships through research visits between collaborating institutions.

📌 MOBILITY Czech Republic–Germany – deadline: 30 June 2026
📌 MOBILITY Czech Republic–France – deadline: 16 July 2026

funding of up to CZK 400,000 per project
up to CZK 200,000 per year
support for research mobility and short-term scientific visits between partner institutions in the Czech Republic and abroad

LA Grants

GA CR: Lead Agency Grants with Austria, Germany and Switzerland

The submission of LA grant proposals is currently open, with the Czech Science Foundation (GA CR) acting as a partner organisation for projects commencing in 2027. Opportunities are available in collaboration with:

Austria and Germany (continuous calls), and
Switzerland (deadline: 8 October 2026).

The European Research Council (ERC) offers some of the most prestigious funding schemes for frontier, high-impact research across all scientific disciplines.

The Aqualife Institute has announced its 2026 grant call, supporting research and educational initiatives focused on hydration, drinking habits, dehydration, obesity, and alcohol consumption.

Recent Graduate? Launch Your Own Start-up with a CZK 25,000 Monthly Stipend

The Founder Stipendium programme supports recent graduates (within two years of completing their studies) in developing their own start-up ventures.

Support: CZK 25,000 per month, plus mentoring
Who can apply: graduates with an early-stage idea or strong technological expertise
Aim: to bridge the gap between an initial concept and a viable business
Deadline: 16 August 2026
