Mapping of the prevalence of genital chlamydiosis in the Czech Republic. Detection of the presence of chlamydiae in the urogenital tract of 600 adolescents of both sexes, aged 16 to 20 years using noninvasive molecular biological techniques (PCR, LCR). Classification of findings in external and internal genitalia found in 300 gynaecological and 300 andrological patients positive for the presence of the infectious agent and antibodies to it. Demonstration of chlamydiae in sperm and anti-chlamydia and anti-sperm antibodies in serum and seminal plasma of the male patients. Demonstration of chlamydiae in genitalia and of antibodies to chlamydiae and HSP 60 in serum of infertile female patients.
