Proposed project is focused on development of new optical chemosensors utilizing principles of supramolecular and bioanalytical chemistry and will be suitable among others for detection metal ions and inorganic/organic anions. In colaboration with US partner, the goal of the project is the design of fluorescent thin-film based chemosensors that display superior chemical stability and analytical metrological parameters. Such microsensors can be utilized in inexpensive analytical devices (sensor microarrays, optodes) useful for in situ/remote speciation analysis. The composition and construction of these devices will be optimized for use in a simultaneous multicomponent analysis of various test samples (e.g. natural and industrial waters, mineral waters, drinks, biofluids, etc.) The signal output from the microsensors will be analyzed by advanced chemometrical techniques in order to obtain the maximal information content from recorded data. Various chemometrics techniques will be evaluated, namely arti
