Get to know Faculty of Medicine MU providing adaptating support to academics and researchers working on research projects of FM MU academic departments took place for the fifth time in university campus grounds.
Almost 40 participants, who became employees of the faculty in the last 6 months or could not attend September 2024 session, were present during February session.
Program was initiated faculty's Dean, prof. MUDr. Martin Repko, Ph.D. Followed by Ing. Michal Sellner, bursar of the faculty, who presented operational and administrative information about the faculty and the activities of FM MU Dean’s office. Topics of publications and plagiarism and also open science and data management were introduced by Mgr. Tereza Miškechová from Office for Research and Quality. Mgr. Bc. Michal Koščík, Ph.D., Vice-Dean for Personnel Affairs, Internal Organisation and Legislation, Faculty of Medicine, addressed the protection of rights and responsibilities. Ing. Daniela Podzemná from Office for Research and Quality at FM MU gave presentation of intellectual property. E-technician, Mgr. Dominika Rebhanová presented the last topic of the event dedicated to study agenda.
The goal of these events is to introduce the key areas and their representatives to participants. In accordance with HR Award Plan and Faculty’s Strategic Plan. They are organized by Mgr. et Mgr. Markéta Havelková, Training and development manager.

A team of scientists led by the head of the research group at the Department of Biology, Nicola Silva, has made a significant achievement in research into the reduced or impaired function of the Synaptonemal complex, which may be one of the causes of sterility. The paper by an international team of authors was published in the prestigious scientific journal Nature Communications in March 2025.
