The topic “Active patient engagement: bringing the patients’ voice into the translational research process” will be presented by Dr. Sarah Weschke, who leads Patient and Stakeholder Engagement at the Berlin Institute of Health (BIH) at Charité. She develops strategies and tools to support meaningful patient involvement in research and its translation into practice.

With a background in psychology and a PhD in social neuroscience, she brings both clinical and research experience. In her talk, she will outline key approaches and methods for effectively engaging patients and other stakeholders in the research process.
