New course for Ph.D. candidates Academic Communication and Writing Skills
Starting from the autumn semester, students from the Faculty of Medicine at Masaryk University, as well as from other faculties, can broaden their horizons and improve their skills in academic communication and writing.
Starting from the autumn semester, Ph.D. students from Masaryk University have the opportunity to gain insights directly from a communication specialist and native speaker, who will provide detailed guidance on practical ways to improve their verbal and written skills in English. During the seminar, students will share and discuss proven techniques and best practices in scientific communication. They will have the chance to learn self-editing methods and journalistic strategies from a qualified journalist, while also identifying and understanding the risks and drawbacks of disfluencies. Students will also become familiar with the benefits of proofreading aloud.
In addition, they will receive useful resources to support further individual or team studies.
This course is an excellent opportunity for those looking to practically and effectively improve their communication skills in English.
THE COURSE WILL BE HELD EVERY THURSDAY STARTING SEPTEMBER THE 26TH FROM 4 TILL 6 PM IN SEMINAR ROOM B17/432.
