The first webinar in the CREATIC LabtoP talk series will explore how multidisciplinary teams, collaboration between laboratories and hospitals, and intellectual property considerations influence innovation and patient access to advanced therapy medicinal products (ATMPs). The webinar will focus on authorship, ownership, and governance across laboratories and institutions, as well as the impact of these factors when therapies transition from non-commercial or pre-commercial pathways into market-oriented development.

European Hospital Exemption (HE) rules significantly influence patient access to advanced therapy medicinal products (ATMPs) as well as innovation. The webinar combines policy perspectives with practical experience, exploring differences in HE implementation across the EU, the impact of underlying ideas about care, risk, and innovation, and the practical pathways for bringing ATMPs to patients in the Czech Republic.
