University Rights Protection Office Received 98 Reports in 2025

 

The Masaryk University Rights Protection Office has published its Annual Report for 2025. During the year, the office handled a total of 98 reports, most commonly concerning inappropriate behaviour by employees, study-related issues, and inappropriate conduct among students. Nearly half of all reports were related to the conduct of university employees

In addition to addressing individual cases, the office focused on strengthening social safety and well-being across the university. Key activities included publishing the guidance document Close Relationships in Academia, continuing the TRUST programme aimed at fostering a positive workplace culture, and contributing to initiatives focused on preventing sexual and gender-based violence.

The Annual Report also presents recommendations based on the office’s practical experience and highlights the importance of maintaining a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment for both students and employees at Masaryk University.

The Annual Report summarizes the activities of the Office during 2025. Its purpose is to enhance transparency while preserving the anonymity of the individuals involved, and to provide an overview of systemic recommendations based on real cases handled by the Office.
