Velvet Innovation Meetup Registration
The event will take place in the Simulation Centre of the MED MUNI, which is equipped with cutting-edge technologies and represents a unique environment for the education of future doctors. This center is the best equipped of its kind in Central Europe. During the meetup, you will have the opportunity not only to look inside its spaces but also to sign up for a tour and experience how simulations here mimic real situations in medicine.
The program will start with presentations of up to 10 innovative projects coming from the private, public, and academic sectors. You will have the chance to learn about the latest ideas driving the world of innovation in the region. The informal atmosphere of the event will provide a networking space where you will be able to make new contacts and deepen existing ones.

A team of scientists led by the head of the research group at the Department of Biology, Nicola Silva, has made a significant achievement in research into the reduced or impaired function of the Synaptonemal complex, which may be one of the causes of sterility. The paper by an international team of authors was published in the prestigious scientific journal Nature Communications in March 2025.
