A fundamental prerequisite for fulfilling the screening programme objectives, i.e., reducing incidence and mortality, is sufficient attendance of the target population, i.e. men and women over 50 years old. One of the key interventions in this field is personalized invitation to the screening examination. This article provides overview of studies and publications that present successful implementation of personalized invitation to the CRC screening; methodology of personalized invitation proposed for the Czech screening programme and criteria for inclusion or exclusion of a particular client to/from the screening programme is also described.
