Description Purpura accompanied with fever or low grade fever is usually a differential diagnostic problem in childhood. An acute hemorrhagic edema of infancy is a less frequent and underdiagnosed entity. The authors report a case of this disease with typical manifestations: purpura. edema and fever/low grade fever. Despite the dramatic onset of skin lesions, the disease does not require any specific treatment, complications are rare and prognosis is favorable.
