| Description | The work is dedicated to the pathophysiology of inflammatory processes leading to the C-reactive protein (CRP) synthesis and to its immune functions. The understanding of possible infectious and non-infectious causes leading to CRP-synthesis as well as understanding of the dynamics of its synthesis and degradation and of the role of elevated CRP levels in the indication of antibiotic treatment are emphasized. |
