Description The air of healthcare settings is to varying degrees contaminated by micro-organisms, the source of which are present persons and the activities he carries out. Staphylococci, but also other gram-positive bacteria, are most often captured. However, some gram-negative bacteria such as Pseudomonas aeruginosa or Acinetobacter spp are also captured in viable form. - significant causative agens of healthcare associated infections. Contaminated air contributes to the contamination of the environment of healthcare settings and increases the risk of transmission of healthcare associated infections.
