Description Until the 1950s, people died prematurely. Over the last hundred years, life expectancy (SDJ) has almost doubled, making it one of the greatest achievements of humanity and science ever. The length of human life is now beginning to approach its biological boundary. The likelihood of life expectancy ceases to be an exceptional phenomenon, but becomes a normal and mass issue. One of the main features of the world population of the 20th century is the absolute and relative growth of the number of seniors, both in developed and developing countries. There is talk of an 'old population aging'.
