| Description | COLCOT study evaluated the administration of colchicin com pared with placebo in patients after myocardial infarction. Primary composite endpoint was the time to cardiovascular death, cardiac arrest,myocardial infarction, stroke or urgent hospitalisation for angina pectoris resulting in revascularization. treated patients reached this endpoint in 5.5% compared with placebo patients 7.1%(p 0.02).The occurence of adverse events was low and comparable with placebo, including diarrhea. |
