| Description | Communication is an instrument of a relationship and we are an instrument of a relationship - this is the motto that has accompanied many popular courses for many years, which the author organizes for his colleagues - doctors, but also other health professionals. It creates a platform for interactive scenes through which the author accompanies the doctor. It's not always easy - the book also opens Pandora's boxes of emotion, fear and anxiety. The monograph is devoted to good clinical practice in mutual communication between the doctor, resp. the healthcare professional, the patient and his loved ones. It focuses on various specific environments where a physician meets with palliative care - through a clinic, a district hospital to a hospice or a home for the elderly. The reader will get acquainted with the communication of bad news in individual medical disciplines, sharing, personal attitudes and defense in communication, they will learn how to work with emotions. There are also chapters devoted to neonatology and care for terminally ill children, accompaniment and care for survivors. The book is written in the form of stories and case reports with comments, explanations and instructions from a doctor and a clinical psychologist. |
