Description The paper provides an ethical reflection on health care decision-making at the end of life, focusing on the practice of end-of-life decisions in the contemporary health care in the Czech Republic, and taking into account the international discourse. The decisions about health care at the end of life affect not only the terminally ill patients, but also their relatives and health care professionals as well. They also have significant psychological, social, legal, and political implications.
