| Description | This article analyses and compares the different territorial electoral results in the European elections in the former Czechoslovakia, that is the Czech Republic and Slovakia. The aim is to explain the electoral results with the help of two analytical instruments: Firstly the application of the second order election theory and secondly the comparison with parliamentary elections in 2006 in both states. These methods enable us to demonstrate the differences between the two young states as well as variations in the electoral support within each of the countries. |
