Description We present a case report of invasive mzcosis of the gastrointestinal tract in an 41-years old female patient with acute mzeloid leukemia. The patients clinical condition began to deteriorate on the 6th day after administering induction chemotherapy 3+7, paralytic ileus and multi-organ failure gradually developped. In spite of intense antibiotic and antimycotic treatment, the patient died on the 33th day. The cause of the infetion has been identified from the tested tissue samples as Neosartorya pseudofischeri [the teleomorphic stage of Aspergillus termomutatus].
