Description Neuroendocrine neoplasms (NEN) represent a heterogeneous group of tumors growing from neuroectodermal tissues and endodermálního origin. Varies depending on the location and degree of differentiation of tumor cells. NEN can occur with anywhere in the body, but are most often located in the gastro-entero-pancreatic axis (so called GEP NEN). Depending on the degree of differentiation may be show a typical tumors of low grade malignancy (low grade) with indolent clinical behavior of tumors to high malignant and aggressive. Besides the usual symptoms GEP NEN also can present symptoms caused by hormonal production tumor in the form of differently expressed karcinoidového syndrome.
