Description The extensive chapter presents the analysis of research conducted in recent years in the context of a developing society by means of social-pedagogical activities in the town Kuito, province Bié. The subjects of the research are Angolan educators who passed the educational programme Leisure Time Animator, Leisure Time Pedagogue or Social Pedagogue and worked as teachers in the Cabinet of Social Education and in the project of social-pedagogical fieldwork. The data collected, both by means of focus groups as well as interviews, formed an interesting material. This material was translated into Czech, transcribed and subjected to further analysis based on the theory by Strauss and Corbin. The results of open, axial and selective coding brought a multidimensional image of life in a country which had been colonised for centuries and endured years of civil war. The research was aimed mainly at the possible activation and education of socially disadvantaged groups, utilising especially the mechanisms of social education. The research analysis unveiled substantial desire of the local pedagogues to improve their standard of living and their professional prospects, especially in relation to children and young adults.
