Description On the basis of International Association for the Study of Obesity 1.5 billion adults suffer from overweight or obesity. 475 million of them are obese. Obesity as a significant health problem facing the world today insists a comprehensive treatment. The medical teatment consists of low-energy diet, physical activity, CBT, pharmacotherapy and, in case that these conservative methods fail, even obesity surgery. Supposedly obesity surgery is most effective treatment of obese class III patients. On the other hand obesity surgery can cause micronutrient and macronutrient deficiencies.
