| Description | Firstly, the publication presents ways of financing social security systems in Member States. Its main part is devoted to the coordination of social security. The aim is to find out legal bases for coordination in international law, European Union law and then, more specifically, to analyse principles of coordination. Further attention is also paid to the manners of cooperation of competent institutions, especially in the recovery process of social security contributions. Finally, the publication discusses the nature of these contributions and distinguishes them from direct taxes. |
