Description Splanchnic arteries aneurysms are uncommon and potentially life threatening disease. Splenic artery aneurysms are the most common type of splanchnic aneurysms and splenic artery is the third most common location of intraabdominal aneurysms, following aortal and iliac aneurysms. The case report describes a sudden death of 81-year-old man, who died at home. The cause of death was bleeding into the abdominal cavity from ruptured splenic artery aneurysm.
